Labor day is a national celebration of the labor and work of mankind. Labor day was said to be founded by Peter j. McGuire of the brotherhood of carpenters and joiners, but some say it was Matthew Maguire. Some states celebrated Labor day before others and on June 28 Congress passed a law that said that on every year on that first Monday in September it was Labor day. Now Labor day is a national holiday and its celebrated through all of the United States and Canada's territories.Since then Labor day has been a time for the United States to celebrate there achievements they have gotten through hard work.
